LIONEL BINET

Born and raised in Chamonix in 1978, Lionel was on skis before he could even walk. Like most kids in the valley, he started with the Ski Club at age 2 and quickly moved on to cross-country skiing, where he competed at a high level for 10 years.

But it was 1988 when his dad found him a snowboard, and that’s when everything changed. He hit the slopes with his crew, riding the legendary spots around Chamonix and diving into halfpipe and big air comps.
As the mountains called, Lionel’s focus shifted to freeride and powder, and he couldn’t resist the pull of Chamonix’s wild alpine playgrounds. Growing up with a mountain-loving dad, Lionel and his brother were always out exploring the best lines in the valley and beyond, including epic trips to Patagonia.

In 2010, Lionel earned his "SSBS" diploma in Switzerland, becoming a certified snowboard instructor. He was even named the top instructor for his technical skills. Now, he’s all about sharing his love for snowboarding, showing riders the best spots in Chamonix, and keeping the stoke alive.
When he’s not shredding the slopes, you’ll find Lionel skateboarding, surfing, or mountain biking – basically anything that gets him outdoors.

One of the most iconic figures in French snowboarding, Jean-Baptiste Charlet (aka Babs), was making waves in the 90s and is still one of Europe’s most respected riders. He was crowned Junior Half-Pipe World Champion in 1994 and went on to compete in the 1998 Nagano Olympics, finishing 12th in the half-pipe.

Babs has racked up a list of “first descents” in the Mont Blanc and Aravis ranges, including the West Face of Mont Blanc (Domenech/Jaccoux, TD +45°/50°, 2500m) and the “Y Couloir” at Aiguille Verte (TD +65°, 1281m).

A true adventurer, Babs lives between the sea and the mountains. In the summer, he’s chasing perfect waves around the globe, and every winter, he shares his love for snowboarding with riders from all over the world.

Coming from a long line of mountain guides, Babs knows exactly where to find the best snow in the valley. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or freeride enthusiast, he’ll take you there, offering technical advice with patience and passion.

For Babs, snowboarding isn’t just a sport – it’s a game where the one who has the most fun wins. And that’s exactly what he wants to share with you.
